Make Money with Mobidea, the Mobile Affiliate Marketing Network

Mobile usage is growing at a rapid rate and even more exciting than the sheer number of users with a mobile device in their pocket, is the amount of money being poured into this space. Mobile applications are generating millions of dollars every day, and affiliate marketers who are taking advantage of this traffic source are are cashing in as well.

The affiliate marketing industry has been talking about mobile for over a decade now, and it’s still amazing to see how many marketers are still sitting on the sidelines and focusing on just ‘desktop’ traffic.

I feel one of the main reasons why this is happening, is that mobile marketing scares a lot of marketers because they don’t have an application or know how to code. The truth is, mobile marketing is just the same as any other traffic source — in that you simply need to find offers to promote, and traffic sources to get exposure to them. It’s that simple!

The same holds true for anyone that already has a mobile app, or simple mobile traffic coming to their sites. There are still plenty of ways to take advantage of the massive ad spending in mobile right now.

Here’s an idea. What if there was a way you could monetize your traffic with optimized offers for mobile apps and subscriptions? Considering just how much time people are spending on their smartphones and tablets, you are essentially leaving loads of money on the table if you don’t consider this possibility.

Even though it can convert, a desktop offer usually doesn’t work that well for mobile traffic. That’s why it’s important to understand the complexities and particularities of mobile. Mobidea, a mobile-based affiliate marketing network, is focused on not only making money off the current mobile opportunity at hand but also providing their affiliates with the tools and resources they need to find success.

In today’s review, we are going to dive deep into what the Mobidea affiliate network has to offer, while also showing you how to put all of their best offers and tracking features to use.

A Clean Affiliate Dashboard

After you’ve gone through the quick and easy process of signing up with Mobidea as a publisher, you’ll gain access to the main affiliate dashboard.

Mobidea_Dashboard_Area

The clean and modern design means that everything is easy to access and understand. The left navigation dashboard automatically compresses into the simple icon view when not in use, but hovering your mouse over any portion of that vertical column will automatically expand it to reveal the main sections.

In the Mobidea affiliate dashboard, you gain access to reports that can show everything happening on your account, a number of smart tools for promoting offers, the actual searchable (and filterable) list of offers themselves, the cashier section for your payment preferences (available after you’ve generated 100 euros in revenue) and your account settings.

Below that, on your left, you can check frequently asked questions, understand how to get in touch with the support team, and become acquainted with Mobidea’s various social media accounts. You can find them on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

On the bottom right, you can use the live chat, getting easy access to the support team. They’re a group of multicultural online analysts and affiliate marketing experts who always provide some great tips for users to increase their revenue. Unlike what happens on many other networks, Mobidea’s support is available every day, including on weekends.

Over 1,000 Mobile Offers on Mobidea

At the heart of any good affiliate network is its catalog of affiliate offers. As mentioned, Mobidea focuses exclusively on mobile offers. These consist of CPA and CPI offers. The CPA model is related to subscription services – you sign up for a service and are then charged for it. CPI is another game. This term refers to offers that convert when the user either downloads or installs the advertiser’s mobile app.

The offer section gives you access to many different offers that can be used with different types of traffic. Moreover, it’s important to realize Mobidea cares deeply for compliance. This is the reason why the approval process is in place. The company also focuses a lot of its efforts on business sustainability. Indeed, you can always rest assured, knowing every offer has been carefully tested.

In general, offers won’t accept incentivized traffic, for example, and they won’t allow any promotion that uses the word “free” as part of the marketing materials. You cannot use any copyrighted material and they will not allow promotion through chats or private messages on social media platforms. Be sure to read these rules carefully.

Mobidea_Affiliate_Offers

The list of offers – which you can preview without signing up – is heavily populated with a range of mobile games in particular. Considering just how popular gaming on smartphones and tablets has become, this should come as little surprise. This can also yield a fairly good conversion rate, as many of these games are also free downloads. They are monetized through in-app transactions (the “freemium” model) and that is why advertisers are willing to pay for the conversions.

Going through the list of mobile offers, you’ll also notice a couple of other key characteristics. Each offer is applicable only for a certain subset of carriers within specific countries. If you find that the majority of your traffic is coming from the United States, for example, you’ll want to find offers that are geo-targeted to that audience. Mobidea is very international. This means a wide range of geographic locations are covered.

It’s also important to note that you can’t just start promoting any given offer right away. You need to click on the corresponding “apply now” link for each offer, accepting the mandatory rules and indicating the traffic source you intend on using. This helps to ensure higher quality traffic for the advertiser, which in turn can yield better payments for publishers. The usual offer approval process lasts no more than 48 hours which means you can get started quite quickly.

Mobidea Smart Tools

It may be the case that you are not interested in promoting a specific offer and would rather use a more general link that is optimized for traffic, conversion and revenue. This is something Mobidea can deal with since there are a number of smart tools available to all affiliates.

Mobidea_Smart_Tools

The Smart Tools section is where you can experience one of Mobidea’s most impressive perks: the Smartlink®. Using Mobidea’s original, house-made technology, the Smartlink® is an advanced algorithm that will automatically optimize your traffic for optimal results. The link will be specific to you and will lead to the offer that the engine believes will perform the best for you.

There are Smartlinks available for mainstream, mainstream CPI, and adult traffic. The latter tends to offer a higher overall eCPM, but is naturally only applicable (and appropriate) for certain apps and web properties.

Mobidea_Smartlinks

Beyond the simple Smartlink® are other promotional Smart Tools. The banners come in a few different sizes and effectively operate the same way as the Smartlinks. All you need to do is insert the iframe code where you would like the ad to appear.

Mobidea also offers redirects, popunders, and overlays, as well as “opportunities” for Smartlinks that target specific countries or carriers. Be careful when using redirects, as Mobidea points out they are “not compliant with the latest Google policies” and should only be used “in websites where SEO is not important.” Popunders and overlays are compliant with Google advertising policies, though.

Payment Methods

On Mobidea, affiliates get paid every day. This is something that’s truly special since you don’t get that on most networks. Another great thing about the platform is the fact that you can get paid however you like. Users can get their money via Wire Transfer, ePayments, PayPal, Payza, Paxum or Payoneer.

5 Ways to Earn Passive Income on Your Mobile Phone

5 Ways to Earn Passive Income on Your Mobile Phone

It’s no secret mobile phones are expensive. They’ve always been pricey items, but today’s demand is higher than ever and more technology is being integrated. As a result, Apple has announced its iPhone X, the most powerful iPhone to date, will cost about $1,000. With more people using their mobile devices than ever before to access the internet, it’s important to not just think about how to target these audiences when they hit your sites or online ads, but also how you can connect with them and offer money making/saving opportunities in the process.

Most people consider a mobile phone to be a necessity, but almost everyone agrees they can be pricey devices. Luckily, there are now legitimate ways make money using your mobile phone. Companies around the globe are paying people every hour of the day to test, review and watch media on their mobile phones. In fact, often times, such advertising is done through the use of gaming applications where the end user is simply being shown ads during a short period of time or to receive game credits. Sometimes such advertising can be used as monetization for the app developer, but other times they can be used to make money on the consumer end as well. These residual income resources can also be used to pay for iPhone X cases, screen protectors and other accessories that prevent costly damage to your device.

With all of this in mind, there are plenty of ways to start putting your time and mobile device to better use. Below are some of the most popular ways people are making passive income with their mobile phones.

Create Your Own App

Right now the app industry is exploding. Year-over-year the global mobile app revenue has grown substantially. The annual estimates are:

  • 2014 – $35 billion
  • 2015- $45 billion
  • 2016 – $58 billion
  • 2017 – $77 billion (predicted)

Businesses make money off of mobile apps, so why can’t you? If you’ve got an idea that would work well for an app you could have a million dollar venture on your hands. The best part is once you create the app a lot of the work is done and you can sit back while the downloads add up.

With today’s intuitive tools, it’s possible for just about anyone to create an app in less than 12 minutes. Software programs and online drag and drop platforms are making it possible for people without technical training to build their own apps. There’s no code to write and no need to hire a developer. You can choose to make it a paid app or build upsells right into the design to earn passive income.

Test Websites and Apps

Once apps and websites are built they have to be tested. Some companies do this internally, some hire an in-person focus group and others turn to the Internet. There are sites that connect companies with everyday consumers who are willing to test a website or app for a small fee.

The tests can run anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more. Users are typically paid around $10 for short tests and $30-40 for tests that take closer to an hour. Each test is slightly different, but most companies will request that you verbalize your thoughts while you complete specified tasks. The mic on your phone captures the audio and your actions are recorded on the screen.

User Testing is one of the leading companies in this field. You can sign up to give user reviews on either your computer or your mobile phone. There are also a number of niche testing sites that serve specific industries. If you have experience in a particular industry there many be more chances to earn income through site and app testing.

Take Surveys

Companies also want to hear your opinion on other matters beyond their websites. Have you ever wondered how companies and organizations come up with survey statistics? Some groups gather information from their existing customer base, but often surveys extend much further.

Businesses will pay to know what you think or how you feel about a subject while in the research and development phase. They’ll pay to know your thoughts because it helps them gauge consumer interest and focus on products with the most demand. Sometimes surveys are also used to develop marketing messages that help sell products.

Shopping Rebates

There are a growing number of apps and websites that are designed to help shoppers get money back when they spend. It’s not earning money, per se, but it does help you lower your monthly expenses and save more.

Ebates is the clear frontrunner in terms of shopping rebate apps/sites. When you make a purchase on their website Ebates gets a commission from the product maker. But instead of keeping it all they give you a piece of the commission and send you a PayPal payment or check every quarter.

Keep in mind with some apps you’ll have to hold on to receipts in order to get your rebates. Some rebate apps work by scanning your receipt and looking for available cash back offers.

Watching Movies

Today, over 1 in 10 American adults solely use a mobile phone to access the Internet. That number is increasing largely due to bigger phone screens and better performance compared to years past. Now you can watch high definition videos on your phone without any issues, and you could get paid for it.

Viewers can earn up to a couple hundred dollars a month using apps like InboxDollars and SwagBucks. You’ll receive a playlist of short videos to watch and comment on. Netflix has also enlisted the help of “taggers” to watch movies and shows then create a list of tags (keywords) that are related for search purposes.

These are just a few ways people are earning passive income with their mobile phones. Use the ideas above to turn your phone from a monthly expense to a moneymaker!

5 Mobile SEO Mistakes That Are Sabotaging Your Mobile Marketing Efforts

5 Mobile SEO Mistakes That Are Sabotaging Your Mobile Marketing Efforts

5 Mobile SEO Mistakes That Are Sabotaging Your Mobile Marketing Efforts

SEO remains one of the most popular topics on the internet. Why?

Because webmasters are always fighting to get search traffic – the better your pages are optimized for search engines, the more chances you have to rank your content, and the more traffic you’ll drive to your site.

That’s not all; it equally means that you’ll be making a lot of money (provided your site is optimized for conversions).

It doesn’t matter whether you are in blogging, content marketing, affiliate marketing, social media, or e-commerce, the challenge is the same…

…Every website owner is searching for the right skills required to make their sites perform better in SERPs (search engine result pages).

However, while implementing SEO strategies, one area most people often fail to give adequate attention to is mobile SEO.

In today’s marketing era, mobile marketing is becoming increasingly popular. Any marketer who’s not yet paying attention to mobile traffic is not doing SEO correctly.

As more and more people are starting to use mobile devices for every task that used to be only possible on desktop, one thing has become apparent:

  • The mobile web is gradually taking over the internet.

And, I’m not talking about just surfing the net. I’m talking about everything from browsing social networking sites, checking emails, collaborating with teams, and making purchases.

According to statcounter.com, mobile browsers enjoy 53.03% of the total number of people who access the internet, while desktops have 42.19% and tablets have 4.78%.

Furthermore, in an article on the Hallaminternet blog, Jonathan Ellins stated that:

In 2016, we saw an increasing number of people using tablets and mobile devices instead of desktop computers to browse the internet. On average, the combined number of mobile and tablet users finally surpassed the number of desktop users globally and the upwards trend is continuing.

Therefore, it’s important for site owners and internet marketers to pay more attention to the mobile version of their sites so that they will benefit more from these mobile users.

However, just like desktop marketing, mobile marketing requires the right SEO tactics to get you a significant position in SERPs.

Sadly, a lot of marketers still make huge mobile SEO mistakes that end up robbing them of a considerable chunk of internet traffic – thereby leaving a lot of money on the table.

What Are These Mobile SEO Mistakes?

1. You’re Not Using A Responsive Design

What exactly is a responsive web design, and why does it matter?

According to HuffingtonPost:

“A responsive design simply means a website that has been constructed so that all of the content, images and structure of the site remains the same on any device. For example, when a user accesses a site on their desktop, they are getting the full view of the site. But when that same user goes to visit the site from their smartphone or tablet, the site will retract to fit on the smaller screen.”

Responsive Design Example

(Source: Freshparks)

In 2015, Google started taking a website’s mobile presence as one of its ranking factors – this alone can justify why using a responsive design is essential.

Typically, one of the reasons why responsive blogs perform better in search rankings is because they provide a better user-experience over websites that are not mobile-friendly.

Additionally, Google likes the fact that responsive sites use a single URL as opposed to using different URLs for separate versions of a website.

With a responsive site, you no longer have to worry about creating different websites for different devices; your website will run perfectly across all devices.

Apart from all these obvious facts, there are also other vital reasons why you should instantly switch to a responsive design right now.

Responsive sites:

  • Enable you to reach more clients and customers on smaller devices (smartphones and tablets).
  • Decrease labor and costs as you no longer have to run separate websites for various devices.
  • Track and report analytics from one place.
  • Increase customer satisfaction, which will eventually lead to higher sales and conversions.
  • Stay ahead of the competition as over 44 percent of fortune 500 companies not yet mobile ready.

Finally, if your site is not responsive, you will lose out on mobile traffic as a lot of mobile users who try to access your site will quickly hit the back button and leave.

2. Your Mobile Pages Load Slowly

Just as people who access your site on desktop computers hate slow loading pages, so do mobile users.

According to Think With Google:

Slow loading sites frustrate users and negatively impact publishers. While there are several factors that impact revenue, our model projects that publishers whose mobile sites load in 5 seconds earn up to 2x more mobile ad revenue than those whose sites load in 19 seconds.

Mobile Pages Load Slowly

The same study also observed 25% higher ad viewability and 70% longer average sessions for sites that loaded in 5 seconds vs. 19 seconds.

If your site takes too long to load, visitors might leave before they’ve even seen anything.

Apart from annoying visitors, Google also punishes slow loading pages and ranks them very low in SERPs.

In a blog post on the Appticles blog, Alexandra Anghel stated that, “when your mobile website or app is clumsy or slow, 29% of smartphone users will immediately switch to another site or app if it doesn’t satisfy their needs (that is, they can’t find information or it’s too slow).”

Below are the basic things you can do to boost your mobile page speed:

3. You Have Blocked Files

Internet marketers understand how critical search engine indexing is to their website search experience. This is why they always do their best to help the search engines to properly crawl and index their sites, spending time and money in off-page and on-page optimization such as website structure, content, links, meta descriptions, tags, image optimization, etc.

But, while it’s obvious that high-quality website optimization is paramount to success in search, not paying attention enough to the technical aspect of SEO can be disastrous.

If you’re not familiar with terms like robots.txt, XML sitemaps, microformats, and meta robots tags, you might be putting yourself in a lot of trouble.

Let’s focus on one of those terms right now – robots.txt.

Robots.txt is simply a text file whose function is to instruct search engine robots (also known as spider, bots, or crawlers) how to properly crawl and index web pages. Typically, the robots.txt file is placed in the top level directory of your site so that the bots can easily access its instructions.

Unfortunately, in an attempt to optimize a site and rank higher, some site owners make a big SEO blunder by shutting out the Googlebot from indexing their files.

How do they do that? They restrict Google’s access to their CSS, JavaScript, and image files.

And if your robots.txt file disallows the Googlebot from accessing crucial elements of your site, your rankings will definitely drop.

To prevent this potential disaster, always check your robots.txt files to see that no essential elements are disallowed. You can also test your robots.txt files on the Google Search Console to be sure that all is well.

4. You Don’t Have Rich Snippets

Let me ask you a question:

Have you ever noticed that when performing a search on Google, some listings often look more attractive and sexier than others? For example, check out the screenshot below:

Rich Snippets example

See that extra information like the star rating? That’s a rich snippet.

Rich snippets take relevant information from your blog and display them on your website’s listing in the search results, apart from the usual page title, URL, and meta description. This additional information can include star ratings, images, author information, etc.

Rich snippets are often neglected in SEO strategies, and this is because they are more tedious to implement than traditional on-page SEO tactics. But if you can spend a little time practicing how to use them, it will be well worth it in the end.

According to Search Engine Land, adding this extra piece of information to your Google search listings captures the eyes of viewers, and they can increase your click-through rates by 30 percent, even if you’re not occupying the first position.

Google loves websites or blogs that provide rich, accurate, and instant answers to queries. If you want to be the website that provides those instant answers, you should use Schema.org on your site.

Finally, using these kinds of rich snippets increases your CTR because it makes your site more attractive to users, and Google tends to reward these helpful additions.

5. Your Multimedia Content Is Causing Problems

Adding videos and multimedia content to your site is a great way to make your blog posts better and more engaging. However, you need to be sure that your site is able to play this content without any issues.

In a situation where this multimedia slows down your site’s speed or isn’t playable, this could pose a great challenge to your mobile marketing efforts.

Back in the day, all the videos you’ve ever watched on the internet were channeled via a 3rd party plugin such as RealPlayer, QuickTime, or Flash. With these great plugins integrated into the various available web browsers, almost invisibly, the viewer wasn’t concerned about how they were seeing the video.

Nowadays, problems occur when the audience suddenly attempts to view a video on an unsupported platform. This is especially problematic for mobile users who may not be using a supported browser.

One good way to overcome this problem is to follow Google’s advice by using HTML5, especially if you want to display animated content on your website.

With an ever growing number of people viewing video content on mobile devices, ensuring video can be seen on any device and with any browser should be of great concern to every webmaster.

Mobile SEO Mistakes

Because the mobile internet is so ubiquitous, optimizing the mobile version of your website will not only improve traffic, it will also go a long a way in improving your income as well.

Do not wait until you’ve lost your users before implementing changes on your site. People love sites that load fast, have responsive designs, and have obviously been optimized for their specific platform.

And in doing this, Google will reward you.

Implement the tips we have provided in this post, and you will surely notice some level of improvement in your SERPs.
